Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Irving, TX for a Verification and Validation Test Engineer at Austco Healthcare.
The Verification and Validation Test Engineer will be engaged in verifying and validating product designs according to the internal quality standards in compliance with the FDA requirements. This position provides support to systems engineering team to meet project deliverables in the completion of product development, verification, validation, and delivery, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
Project deliverables include, but not limited to, the execution of verification and validation plans, execution of the required test protocols (test cases), test automation, progress and issues reporting and resolving deviations.
Qualifications
(Must Haves)
2+ years of experience in design verification or validation with emphasis on software testing methodologies in a regulated environment (manual and automated testing).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer EngineeringSolid experience in creating test cases using established software quality assurance practices.
Expertise in testing Web applications, Desktop applications, and Server applications.
Extensive knowledge in testing Web API’s and RESTful web-services.
Good working knowledge of SQL to perform backend database testing.
Experience using performance monitoring tools.
Mobile (iOS and Android) testing experience.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (Routing, DNS, IP, etc).
Experience with Virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, VMWare ESXi etc).
Experience with Linux and shell commands/scripts.
Keen desire to learn new concepts and procedures.
Take Initiative, strong time management skills, and commitment to requirements.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to work under pressure and plan workloads as appropriate.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Collaborative team player.
Effectively troubleshoot complex issues.
Ability to prioritize and consistently meet deadlines.
(Highly Desirable)
Test case automation and ability to create reusable automated test frameworks.
Familiarity with commercially available test automation tools (Ranorex and/or Selenium).
(Nice to Have)
Experience in setting up and testing highly available server solutions.
Experience in IP Technologies, VoIP Telephony, and Web: Http and Https.
Working knowledge of LDAP services, SMTP, and SNMP.
Experience in performing performance and load testing and interoperability for mobile, VoIP, Web API and web sockets.
Experience reading, testing, and manipulating XML, JSON and other data formats such as HL7.
Familiar with Agile development methodology (Scrum, Kanban).
Knowledge of healthcare communication systems.
Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 per year
